flying back to des moines right now, but this weekend i competed in la hacks 2026.
me, Luca, Justin, and Rohan made angelware, a real-time emergency response system that uses rf and broadband sensing and ai to detect and visualize human presence behind walls and rubble, helping firefighters locate survivors faster. basically we can see behind walls. it also includes a mesh network for firefighter communication and vitals tracking, plus automated alerts and hospital calling features for real-time situational awareness.
We built it using a combo of hardware, software, networking, infrastructure, custom firmware, and even some 3d printing (and a wood saw, somehow), a true multidisciplinary project.
while we didn’t place, i’m glad this was my final hackathon project because it used a lot of cool technologies and actually solved a problem.
